Huthina Betta
Huthina Betta (“hillside of termite mounds) is a 9 acre organic forest farm. While 8 acres are being regenerated into forest using species indigenous to the western ghats, one acre is cultivated and has an orchard, the cottages, , cow shed, and vegetable garden.
One can have a comfortable stay here and have access to the forest outside for walks, go down to the river, visit the nere nearby place of cultural and religious significance like Suvarnavalli math, the jain temples, Sivagange falls, Sahasralinga etc or just bird watch from the porch.
The farm can accommodate one family or small group of 4-6 people at a time with a room and attached bath/WC. Larger groups can stay in the covered hall on the first floor.
Ideal for short or long term stay for a holiday or if you need to get serious work done.

Nellithota Forest Retreat
Nellithota,
the beautiful forest home of Savitri and P.P. Hegde, is nestled in the middle
of the Western Ghats, surrounded by their home garden and areca orchard, along
with all of the natural and cultural treasures the hilly jungle region has to
offer. The family has been farming here
for generations, and visitors will actually live in the midst of a typical
orchard home in the malnad region and experience everyday life here.
This is an ideal place for singles, families with or without children, and
groups. One can have a quiet getaway or plan to have an action-oriented time
here. The family loves having people over, and since not many people know of
Nellithota, it does feel like home with a lot of spontaneity, warmth, and
humour. Kannada, or a little English/Hindi work here – but language does not
matter at all as you will see!
